Working in the city is nice and convenient, but when your office is surrounded by buildings and not located in the top floors, you probably have low light inside. Context of Christoper’s situation

Can you describe the brightness problem you encountered in your apartment?

My wife and I live in an apartment in Washington DC. I work downtown, one block from the White House! My office is located on the ground floor of a large building, this room has one window overlooking a loading dock. It forms a kind of courtyard surrounded by high walls.

With this configuration, I really have very little natural light coming into the office. Daylight and sunlight can’t reach the window. It was really annoying because all I could see from the window was a very dark place… It wasn’t a nice room to work in, I needed to turn the lights on all the time.

What solutions did you find?

I was looking for a solution to this problem. A few months before, my colleagues and I tried to install a curved mirror to reflect light in our home, but it was difficult to fix and the result was not striking. So I continued my Google search and found Espaciel.

Which solution did you finally choose?

When I came across Espaciel’s website, I immediately thought that this product was the ideal solution for my office. Depending on the width of the window, which is about 1m, the 80cm x 25cm exterior reflector was the appropriate product. Fixed outside, on the window frame, the reflecting surface would be directly opposite the sky and help daylight to enter the office. In this case, the surrounding buildings would no longer be an obstacle to light.

The only important thing to consider is that the reflector is located just below the sky. Espaciel gives a very good tracking when ordering and sending the package. I received it in a short time as indicated, and in good condition.

 

 

How does the Espaciel reflector work in your office?

I installed the reflector right after I received it. I mounted it using the instructions on the desk window in about 15 minutes. The installation of the Espaciel reflector was much easier than the previous mirror!

The light reflector helps natural light to be reflected every day inside the room. The result is better with sunlight, especially in the summer when the rays arrive on the dock in front of our window. The rest of the time, when it’s grey, it helps to increase the general brightness of the room by redirecting outside light into the office, which is now much brighter.

 

 

Before I could only see a very dark space through the window, now I can see part of the sky reflected in the reflector. It’s very pleasant.

I highly recommend the Espaciel reflector. It is the only product on the market that can be quickly and easily installed to bring extra light to dark rooms.
